"Why Do You Believe" is a question that we Christians hear from both the curious as well as our anti-Christian counterparts. Is God as well as Christianity based in truth; is it real?. Believing in God is logical, however, it should not be based only on the beliefs of our parents and other influential persons. It is to be rooted in Biblical evidence (science: archaeology) and the Biblical witnesses (the disciples). This sermon provides a brief look at both the biblical evidence which serves as foundations for our belief in God and our acceptance in Jesus as the Son of God. The Christian way of life should include some characteristics that are uniquely repetitive. This sermon calls these characteristics “ALWAYS” qualities. While they are not inherently unique to Christians only, they reflect our understanding of the Bible and our commitment to the Christian way of life in seeking to be pleasing to the Father just as our savior, Jesus did. What can the Lord depend on you to "Always" do? The handout below provides a list of the "Always" Christian characteristics for further study and future reference. Download it here.
In this teaching sermon, we are looking at how FAITH allows the supernatural world of possibilities to interact in the natural world. The old and new testaments provide substantial references to this FAITH-based life alternative. The question that remains is “Is the Lord bothered by man’s inability to build and sustain FAITH despite countless Godly intersessions”. The answer is that the Lord can’t relate to FAITHLESS considering all the Biblical and individual-specific evidence. The handout below provides a Biblical evidence list from the Old and New Testaments where God and Jesus used supernatural miracles in response to the FAITH of followers. Download it here.
